Sifton
In 1923, Harry Sifton embarked on his first housing project, constructing a home on Rosedale Avenue in London. This marked the inception of a business dedicated to fulfilling the community’s housing needs. Spanning three generations of leadership, the family-owned company has evolved into one of southwestern Ontario’s most esteemed builders. Over the years, Sifton has diversified its operations to encompass various forms of housing, including residential rentals, commercial leasing, neighborhood development, and seniors living.
Early developments such as Oakridge Acres, Oakridge Park, Berkshire Village, and Westmount laid the foundation for Sifton’s legacy. Pioneering innovations such as rental townhouses, condominiums, and solar home technology introduced London to new housing concepts. Sifton’s groundbreaking initiatives also include southwestern Ontario’s inaugural gated golf community, RiverBend Golf Community.
With over 90 years of service, Sifton Properties remains committed to adapting to evolving customer needs. From the early days of two-storey wood frame homes to the solar-powered residences of the 1970s and today’s personalized luxury homes, Sifton continues to shape the landscape of housing in the region.
